Harry Styles didn’t want to try the rainbow.
During one of his “Love On Tour” residency shows at The Forum in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, the 28-year-old singer appeared to be injured after Skittles was thrown onto the stage by a concertgoer.
A fan shared the moment it happened in a video on Twitter, showing various pieces of the candy flying across the stage and hitting Styles in the left eye.
The “As It Was” singer can be seen flinching from the impact and putting his hand to his eye as he leans over, apparently in pain.
“Whoever fk threw a solid object into his eye literally ruined [the song] kiwi because he didn’t open his eyes during the whole song,” the fan wrote.
Styles would rub and touch his eye, as well as squint visibly throughout the remainder of the show.
Styles’ Band Member Pauli Lovejoy Confirmed during an Instagram Live that indeed it was a Skittle that was thrown, and that the singer is fine.
“But do me a favor, don’t throw any more Skittles on the stage,” Lovejoy said.
Styles’ fans took to Twitter to share their frustration with the concertgoer who assaulted the singer.
“The fact that someone had the audacity to throw a handful of skittles at Harry Styles’s face and hit him in the eye at his concert absolutely baffles me,” said one. fan wrote.
“Whoever threw those pins, I hope you’re embarrassed and crying and never let you into a Harry concert again.” another tweeted.
“I just watched the video of Harry getting hit in the eye by someone throwing skittles on stage and it’s making me furious, what the hell is wrong with people? Why would you throw a solid object that could and did hurt him? no fucking respect istg [I swear to God],” someone wrote.
“Who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to bowl at Harry? like what was the objective there”, another questioned.
“I can’t even explain to you how LIVED I am that someone would throw anything at Harry while he’s performing, let alone a handful of skittles?!?? That’s the most degrading thing you can do to someone! and you call yourself a fan? I’m so damn mad rn”, a angry fan said.
“Whoever has bowled Harry Styles’s eyeball, I hope you step on a plug every day for the rest of your life.” someone joked.
Following the unfortunate incident, Skittles issued a statement on Twitter.
“I didn’t think I needed to say this: please don’t throw away Skittles,” Skittles’ account tweeted.

“There are safer ways to do this”, bowling said.

Concertgoers have a history of throwing things at Styles while performing on stage.
During his residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City, a fan tossed a chicken nugget on stage, which Styles called a “very interesting approach”.
