Agamotto, Marvel’s first Sorcerer Supreme, reveals a sinister new meaning behind the name Earth-616 in avengers #62.

avengers #62 comes from Jason Aaron, Ivan Foiorelli, color artist David Curiel, and Letterer VC’s Cory Petit. in the matter, agamotto has a face-to-face encounter with the demonic Mephisto, who has been traveling through time while posing a serious threat to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes throughout the series. Having faced Mephisto earlier, Agamotto prepares for another battle, only to receive a vision of “worlds devastated”.

Agamotto narrates: “The great heroes of prehistory, of Earths like this… All struck down. All slaughtered. And here I am alone. On Earth-616. Interesting number, that. On some worlds, they call it…The true number of the beast.”

Following his interaction with Mephisto, Agamotto begins to assemble the prehistoric incarnation of the Avengers, a group of heroes who largely fell apart from each other after the events of the Avengers. Avengers 1,000,000 BC (2022) #1 special. After gathering Ghost Rider, Iron Fist, Moon Knight, Starbrand, and Odin, Agomotto casts a spell that seemingly takes them to the present day, where they are. the current avengers teamincluding Thor, Namor, Starbrand, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Nighthawk, Valkyrie, Iron Man, and Echo.

Even More Avengers Head To Earth-616

While Earth-616 may share a connection to sinister forces, avengers assemble alpha will bring together not only modern and prehistoric versions of the team, but other heroes from across the multiverse as well. in aaron’s avengers forever series, Earth-616’s Robbie Reyes has teamed up with Earth-818’s Tony Stark/Ant-Man and a Deathlok to bring together different incarnations of various heroes. So far, the team has assembled Thor God of Fists, ultra-powerful Black Panther, a small army of Steve Rogers, and more.
