A 10-year-old boy shocked thousands after noticing a hidden symbol on the packaging of Toblerone chocolate bars that most people had never seen before.
His mother revealed that the boy saw a ‘secret bear’ within the image of the Swiss mountains to the left of the word Toblerone.
‘My son had his first Toblerone today. “What is the bear for?” Me: “What bear?” the woman, named Stephanie, posted online.
A mother revealed the moment her ten-year-old son discovered a hidden symbol on Toblerone packaging: a bear inside the Swiss mountains (pictured on package)
“I was years old today when I found out there’s a bear in the Toblerone logo,” he laughed.
The original post was shared on Facebook on Sunday, and it wasn’t long before thousands of people said they hadn’t noticed the bear either.
’71 Years 50 Christmases’ by Toblerone and after searching through the package, I finally found the Bear! Your son is brilliant! said a man.
‘I never realized…your son is amazing,’ another man commented.
“I will never stop watching this but I never noticed it before,” wrote one woman.
“Wow, hidden in plain sight for over 60 years from me,” said another.
Many said they thought it was just the Swiss mountains.
But several commenters revealed that the bear represents the Bern bear because the chocolate is made in Bern, Switzerland.
‘Toblerone comes from Bern, Switzerland. Also known as the city of bears,” explained a helpful commenter.
Another person explained that the chocolate was made in Bern in the 1990s and the city’s coat of arms featured a bear.

The recipe calls for biscuits, almonds, caster sugar and 540 grams of Toblerone chocolate.
The delicious and fluffy Toblerone cheesecake recipe is so simple that an eight-year-old can make it
1.5 package of butter cookies
125 grams of almond
150 grams of icing sugar
1.5 packages of Toblerone of 360 grams -400 grams for cake and rest for decoration
80 grams of melted butter
3 packages of Philadelphia cheese 750 grams
250 ml of cream
3 dessert spoons of gelatin
Pulse the nutmeg cookies and almonds in a food processor until smooth, then add the melted butter mixture until just blended.
Line a 32 cm tart pan with baking paper and margarine.
Press the cookie mixture into the bottom of the tin, then up the sides. Put it in the freezer to set for 20 minutes.
Then put the cream cheese and sugar in the food processor and blend well, add the cream and blend until smooth.
Combine 1/4 cup of the cold water with the gelatin, mix so that no lumps form, then add a little hot water, mix until dissolved, then add to the cheese mixture.
Melt the Toblerone in the microwave slowly, for 55 seconds, repeat if necessary.
Mix with a spatula, make sure it’s not too hot, then stir in the cheese mixture until the chocolate is coated. Then pour the chocolate mixture over the cookie base and grate more Toblerone on top.
Cover with transparent film and let rest for 12 hours in the fridge.
