Veteran actress Tabassum Govil, 78, died on Friday night (November 18) due to cardiac arrest in Mumbai, according to the ANI news agency. Shortly after the news broke, celebrities from across the industry paid tribute to the late actress on social media. wife of Akshay Kumar, shine khannashared an emotional post on her Instagram that read: “She was truly a legend. As a child, I used to watch Fool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan with Tabassum ji as your spectacular host. I don’t remember your guests. Only her. With her nasal accent and the rose behind her ear. All these hazy memories wrapped around me like cashmere cloaks on a winter morning. Rest in peace.”

Shortly after Twinkle Khanna shared the post, Farah Khan Ali, in the comments section, wrote: “May she RIP. Remember her so vividly. #TabassumRIP.”

TV actress Urvashi Dholakia shared a flashback photo of Tabassum Govil on Twitter and wrote, “Rest in peace Tabassum ji, our childhood wouldn’t be complete if you hadn’t been there.”

Tabassum Govil, on Friday night, suffered his first heart attack around 8:40 p.m., followed by another at 8:42 p.m., according to the ANI news agency. The legendary actress had been experiencing health problems for the past few days.

According to the late actor’s son, Hoshang Govil, it was his mother’s wish not to tell anyone about his death until after her last rites were performed. The family revealed that the last rites for him were performed in Mumbai on Saturday, according to the ANI news agency.

Kiran Bala Sachdeva, popularly known by her stage name Tabassum, was an actress, talk show host, and YouTuber. She began her career as a child actress Baby Tabassum in 1947. She was best known for her performance on the television show Phool khile hain gulshan gulshan. She also acted in movies like Baiju Bawra, Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon and many more.
